Letter to Physicians and Nurses

Dear Physicians and Nurses:

Up until now, VasoCARE’s dynamic compression medicine technology only focused on reducing lymphatic overload for managing lymphedema or reducing venous hypertension for preventing recurrence of venous ulcers.

We had no technology designed to accelerate the healing of leg wounds and ulcers, while allowing patients complete freedom to live an active lifestyle.

VasoCARE is excited to announce the marketing of the negative pressure wound therapy device system by Kalypto Medical. This new negative pressure wound therapy device system is designed to accelerate the healing of leg wounds and ulcers including arterial, diabetic, and venous.

Unlike systems that pack the wound bed with foam and collect exudate in canisters, the Kalypto system utilizes a proprietary dressing kit system that "wicks and locks" the exudate. The revolutionary battery powered pump weighs 8 ounces and delivers intermittent or continuous negative pressure ranging from 40 to 125 mmHg.

Kalypto chose to think outside the box with technology that allows patients to go anywhere and still receive round-the-clock negative pressure wound therapy. Here are the breakthroughs:

  • Pump weighs only eight ounces and is battery powered
  • Pump is worn at the waist similar to a cell phone
  • Patients can go anywhere and still receive 24/7 therapy
  • Proprietary dressing kit serves as dressing and collection system
  • Requires on average two dressing changes per week
  • Dressing changes in ten minutes
  • No canister means no odors or vision of exudate
  • Next generation dressing technology accelerates wound healing

Using the Kalypto NPWT device in conjunction with a gradient, sequential compression pump further accelerates venous ulcer healing by reducing venous hypertension. Continuation of daily use of a gradient, sequential compression pump keeps venous hypertension in check and helps prevent recurrence of future venous stasis ulcers.

On average, the Kalypto system heals venous ulcers in two months. Compliance is high because both therapy devices are extremely easy to use, provide comfort, and allow patients to maintain an active lifestyle.

We look forward to working with you and your patients.

Sincerely,
VasoCARE, LLC
